My story

I fell in love with sourdough in 2024, and by early 2025 I dove head first into my “crunchy mom” era. One of the first things I did was buy a mill and start milling flour for my family— and WOW. I had no idea what I was getting into! I quickly discovered the rich history of milling (shout out Sue Becker) and realized that store bought flour barely resembles the whole grains it comes from. Since then, our kitchen has become a little farm-to-table adventure: we drink raw milk, eat fresh eggs, and are fortunate enough to be able to source some of our produce and meats locally. I love being able to show my kids where our food really comes from. Baking and cooking aren’t just about making bread —they’re our way of celebrating the bounty God gives us on this earth, nourishing our bodies, and living more intentionally.
